Nico's Dream

non-profit organization with one goal: ending childhood cancer

Kick Cancer Soccer Camp
  • Another successful Kick Childhood Cancer Soccer Camp on December 10, 2022 at the San Antonio STAR Soccer Complex

  • Presented $10,000 check to UT Health San Antonio to support pediatric cancer research.

Progress

  • Established the Nicolás Ramírez Castro Pediatric Cancer Research Fund at UT Health San Antonio to advance childhood cancer medicine, pediatric liver cancer research, therapies and clinical trials.

  • Provided financial help to a pediatric cancer patient and her family to support palliative care costs.

  • Activated new partnerships and community support for children and families experiencing cancer.

2021 Reflections

COVID19 disrupted our world, our gatherings, and for the second year the annual Kick Childhood Cancer Soccer Camp---but our commitment to end childhood cancers continues strong.

With the generosity of so many supporters in 2021 we:

  • donated books to the Nico Children's Library located at the East Meadows Affordable Housing Community in San Antonio

  • provided presents and gift cards during the holidays to children and families served by University Health System Foundation

  • Worked with UT Health to establish a pediatric liver cancer research fund in honor of Nico
